....well I fail because I'm not sure where exactly I left off but I shall try (btw that's my crazy friend Asia up there and she has GORGEOUS LONG LOVELY HAIR)
So I loved the flat twists! I moisturized my scalp with Cantu and then spritzed my hair and retwisted. Doing the 8 BIG braids ...I think I took out more hair so when I retwisted I split the braids in half. And I think I pulled out less hair that way. I even went to work with them still twisted.

Aug. 2.
I washed my hair with Aubrey Organics....
1. it wasn't as soft or manageable like it is with Cantu or Creme of Nature...the way that this products makes my hair feel is the reason that I stopped using Mikal Clay (which my mother swears is the wonderful for the hair.) My hair and its curly nature has responded better with the chemical filled products. I so wasn't expecting that! I mean I was thinking because it was natural that my hair was gonna be crazy soft and curly! Nope...............
2. Then I conditioned and combed out my hair: My hair shed SO much and that's crazy. My hair during the week barely shed at all! (maybe it was just make up for the week?)Then when I rinsed it out my hair wasn't nearly as soft as using it was using Cantu's rinse conditioner. I think my hair responded better to Cantu. I was so despondent. I braided my hair in four braids but not before moisturizing. I oiled my scalp with Jojoba oil and moisturized the strands with a mix of castor, glycerin, and sweet almond oil..........I went to bed expecting amazingly softer hair.

So the next day my hair wasn't crazy soft like it was after washing and putting on Cantu's leave in.
My fear here is that I'm doing TOO DAMN MUCH. perhaps I would never seen those white balls if I wasn't rinsing and conditioning so often. I'm being to overzealous with the oils......idk
At any rate, because the oils were light I expected my hair to absorb the oils but it was oily...not drippy oily but oily nontheless. I didn't like that. I don't know how I wore my hair that day. Probably left it in the braids

I left the two front braids and took down the back. (I wore my hair a couple times this week) I don't remember why I wet my hair but I did and then spritzed it with a mixture of oil and water....MISTAKE!!! I was an oily mess!! I mean oil all down the back. My curls weren't defined anyway. I mean just..........FAIL. So I when I got home I rinsed my whole head. (no conditoner and no shampoo) and gently detangled with my fingers. Oiled my scalp with jojoba oil and put that oil on the ends and braided it.
Aug 5.
I left the braids in. I just put them in a ponytail
Aug 6.
Kept the two braids in the front and took down the back. While my hair wasn't oily or whatever the soft waves I get in the morning after using one of those chemical ya digs........I didn't get here. The plus side of using the jojoba oil is that my hair shed has been so minimal. To the point where I can put my hair in my head and pull back and I usually have come back with nothing.

I went downtown today...I rinsed my hair intending to wear my hair curly (but I've had a problem with curl definition) (At some point I mixed sweet almond oil and castor oil into the cantu shea butter leave in......I don't remember when but it made me feel better about using it.) ...I've noticed that my curl pattern is looser without using product. Having said that my hair didn't curl as much and I ended up putting it in a ponytail.

I went to Sangrias (pretty cracking) I re-wet my hair (Spritzing) and then put on that cantu mix...my hair wouldn't do that fro thing lol so I put it into kind of a fro hawk but after 3 hours of dancing my hair got into that fro thing and I took down the fro hawk and just wore a fro. My hair was all kinds of kinked to my scalp. Ignant! But ya'll know I love a fro

In orded to prepare for the washing I started detangling part by part...like stretching my hair...Then I washed. I rinsed for a while to loosen the curl pattern then washed in four parts...rinsed and repeated. This time conditioning I put on the conditoner in four parts and just finger detangled. Then I rinsed ......my hair was a tad softer this time. Then I combed it out. There was less hair this time. I still think it's too much. (My dad saw me putting my hair into a sandwhich bag and he was like.....you're not into that voodoo are you? LMAO) This time I only used Jojoba oil. And put it in 6 braids.
I've long decided that just Aubrey Organics and natural Oils will not be enough. I'm definitely switching to Komaza. I've already decided that I don't like Aubrey Organics (A.O.) The smell of A.O. is really earthy...and I think I can appreciate that. But....Cantu smells much better. The natural oils are not enough to make my hair soft. And I'm like disheartened by that because I've seen other naturals praise these oils to the most high! Saying that it softened their hair so much! And I'm guess that they have a different hair texture than mine. My braids after washing yesterday looked longer to me.......not sure why -because I don't think I've had any hair growth
lmao at yo dad!
ReplyDeleteand i guess when its time for me to try aubrey then i dont have to buy it lol
