I don't know if you were ever a religious Tyra watcher as I was but on her show she had a tendency to attack her guests when they had views or opinions that differed from hers.
I remember the episode where she attacked the woman who bleached her children's skin daily -and while I agree that it was wrong........I don't think Tyra took the time to realize why that sort of mentality existed.
To be darkskinned...has a long history of being considered....second rate. That though we may be beautiful we will never be as beautiful as those of lighter skinned. It's beyond unfortunate. It just seems that the light skin hysteria is getting worse with EVERY MAINSTREAM SONG having at least one line about a light skin, yellow, red bone.
