BETTER LEFT UNSAID: INTERRACIAL DATING

I'm not against interracial dating! I'm all for it. Get in where you fit in. Everybody need some loving!

I'm against the attitude that accompanies interracial dating (most times). The shit that's like black women are ugly and out of control and yadda yah and that's why I won't date them. Or the feeling that you're upgrading once moving beyond the sisters and into the world of brasilleras and white women.

Women are women. You don't escape crazy, loud, triffling etc by dating outside of your race. Just like I won't escape triffling baby daddies, ex prisoners, and high school drop outs by not dating black men (now you see how offensive that sounds. Exactly)

And if it comes down to believing that whiter skin/lighter skin is more beautiful, then you sir have some reevaluating to do on how you define beauty. Why do you believe this way? How socialized are you? Break the cycle! Beauty is not limited to one skin tone (or body shape for that matter) Internal racism is........disappointing. And I know it's not limited to black men. Trust I've heard plenty of female relatives say they want mixed children because they want their children to have "good hair." (OUR HAIR GROWS WE JUST HAVE TO BE EDUCATED ON HOW TO LOVE IT -AIN'T THAT RIGHT MISHA J)

I'm not opposed to dating outside my race...it's just something to loving a black man that I can't quite articulate...that drives me wild. But I'm definitely not opposed -especially after all this complexion obsession going on in the black community.
